Photo and video policy
What happens to the photos and videos you put on the CCRally platform. You agree to this before your first upload to a rally album.
This is a translation for your convenience. In case of any difference, the Dutch version is legally binding.
1. What this is about
- This policy applies to all photos and videos you put on the CCRally platform: in the photo album of a rally, in the rally chat and in the community.
- The photo album is a nice extra for everyone, so we can look back on a rally together. Be aware that what you upload is visible to the other members and participants.
2. Your photos remain yours
- The photos and videos you upload remain your property. You only give CCRally permission to use them, as described below.
- Only upload images you made yourself, or for which the maker has given you permission.
3. Use by CCRally
- By uploading, you give CCRally permission, free of charge and for an indefinite period, to use your photos and videos for its own communication and marketing. Think of the website, social media, newsletters, ads and printed material.
- CCRally may crop and edit the images for this purpose and add the CCRally logo.
- Where possible, we credit the maker. This is not an obligation.
4. Use by members
- Photos in a rally album are available to the members and participants on the platform. They may view, save and share them, for example on their own social media.
- It is good practice to credit the maker of the photo when sharing it. CCRally cannot check or enforce this.
- CCRally is not liable for the use of photos by members outside the platform, nor for any copyright or portrait right claims that result from it.
5. What is not allowed
- No nudity or sexually suggestive images.
- No images of dangerous situations or prohibited driving, such as racing, speeding or dangerous overtaking. As a driver, never take photos or videos while driving.
- No images that hurt, insult or show others in a bad light.
- No images of someone else without their permission, and no images unrelated to CCRally.
6. Removal and not showing
- CCRally may always remove photos and videos or not show them in an album, without giving a reason.
- Photos by drivers (participants without a membership) disappear from the album 30 days after the rally. Photos by members and by the CCRally photographer remain.
- Are you in a photo you would rather not see? Email [email protected] and we will look into it.
7. Car recognition with AI
- The photos in the album are automatically analysed by an AI service from Google, so everyone can find the photos of their own car.
- The AI only looks at the cars: make, model, colour and number plate. People and faces are not recognised and not used.
- Number plates are never visible to other members. If you want your number plate to be unrecognisable in the photos, turn on “Blur number plate in rally photos” in your profile.
8. Changes
- CCRally may change this policy. In the event of a significant change, we will ask you to agree again at your next upload.
